Revenge of the Gummy Bears 🥇

The game
No boring day at the candy factory. You have already winded the machines down for the night, when a single red glare appears and disappears in the dark. Suddenly the room is lit with thousands of tiny red eyes. Oh no. The gummy bears have somehow come alive! Despite their yummy appearance, they don’t look too friendly. What on earth was in that last batch? As the delicious but menacing gummy horde closes in on you, you hastily redirect the plant’s candy output to a generator turbine to get some extra power using the candyelectric effect and 3D print some defensive structures to hold off the onslaught. It’s man vs candy. You made them. Now you must dispose of them.
Revenge of the Gummy Bears is a tower defense game and a sequel to our other popular title Awesome Animal Candy Factory. The player must defend the candy factory and defeat the bad batch of gummy bears before they destroy the factory. 3D print turrets and place them strategically to prevent your enemies from getting to your base. Fallen enemies drop candy mass which can be collected and used to make more and better weapons. The player has three hit points and a fourth hit will shatter the candy tank and the mission will fail. Different weapons have different abilities: some cannons can shoot multiple bullets at once, others can spread their fire to a larger area and some can target enemies. Knowing different types of weapons and placing them strategically is crucial in building defenses that can hold the line.
The game was competing at the Assembly Summer 2026 gamedev compo. Revenge of the Gummy Bears was applauded for its innovative fluid simulation mechanics and fun art direction. It was well received by the audience and placed 1st in the compo.
